Adelaide's Wildlife
Adelaide is a city of about a million people nestled between the Mt Lofty Ranges to the south-east and the Gulf St Vincent to the west. Adelaide is the capital city of the state of South Australia.
We are fortunate to live in an environment that offers a pleasant climate, beautiful scenery and outstanding wildlife. Adelaide is noted for its popular sandy beaches and easy lifestyle.
We share this idyllic environment with a whole range of wildlife, which sometimes comes into conflict with people. To ensure that we co-exist effectively, the Living with Wildlife Strategy encourages people to enjoy our native animals and to prevent damage or inconvenience to both the humand inhabitants and to our wildlife.
