Do Not Disturb

Sometimes, when I am lying on a beach or somewhere, I just want to be left alone and sometimes I quite like people to come and say hello to me – as long as they are nice and treat me properly. I think most humans are the same. So, my team asked Salmon Studios to design a “Do Not Disturb” sign that you might like to make up and put on your bedroom door.

To make your own Henry “Do Not Disturb” Sign, you will need:

  • a printer to print out the pdf, ideally a colour printer
  • a pair of scissors
  • glue
  • a piece of light cardboard, like the front of a cereal pack.

To make your sign:

  • print the pdf
  • cut along the solid lines on the edge and fold along the dotted lines
  • cut a piece of light cardboard 8.5 cm wide and 25 cm long
  • place the pdf face down on a table and carefully glue the cardboard on the back of the “Do Not Disturb” half
  • fold the edges onto the back of the cardboard (along the dotted lines)
  • fold the “You are Welcome” side over so it covers the other face of the cardboard
  • press the whole thing as flat as you can.
  • Cut very carefully along the bit that fits over the door knob.

And its all done!

Now you can put your sign on your bedroom door to let people know whether you want company or not. Have fun!
