Fun Stuff

What cool things can I do?

Have you ever wondered how long a sea lion, fur seal or penguin can hold its breath? Wonder no more. You will be able to download their dive files and learn all about their underwater life.

Follow your favourite predator on the internet, as it catches food, heads to its favourite feeding grounds and avoids becoming food for another animal.

The lives of sea lions, fur seals, penguins, crested terns, mako sharks, blue sharks, sea eagles and more can be followed on www.henrythesealion.com.

Teachers can access information that will give geography and biology classes an exciting new twist.

Interactive games are under construction. These games will allow you to test your survival skills. Pretend you’re a baby sea lion – can you find enough food and avoid sharks and become a fearsome adult sea lion?

We will also soon release some quizzes to test your knowledge about the marine environment and there will be some great prizes to be won.

What freebies are there?

Posters, pictures, maps and more! If something you would like isn’t there, let us know and we will try to include it.

If you want to write your school research project or assignment on something different, there’s plenty on this site that’s easy to find.

And it is all verified by people who know what they are talking about, so you won’t think the Great Wall of China was built to keep the rabbits out!

This site is a joint initiative of a number of SA government and non-government organisations.
