Can I help?
You certainly can!
We will be inviting enthusiastic volunteers along on the adventure of a lifetime.
You will be able to watch a pelican be fitted with a satellite tracker, and then follow it online for years to come. Or you might get to see a sea lion swim off with our miniature TV camera!
If you’re interested, we will soon be inviting you to leave your name and details in special feedback page.
Satellite tracking is exciting new technology, but its expensive – each tracker costs us $3,500-$6,000 to buy and operate and these animals don’t always return them to us (and sometimes when they do the trackers are not in very good condition!).
If you would like to buy a tracker for this project, we want to hear from you. There are a range of sponsorship options available to suit most needs, so please email us your details.
But the most important way you can help is to care, encourage your friends and family to care, and to look after our oceans and everything that lives in them.
Throughout this website there are practical suggestions on what you can do to make sure this fantastic world survives.
